At first, I thought this movie presents responsibility and blame. both word is similar in japanese 責任 and 責任感. In this movie, He is said "hero" on the other hand suspected "fraud".
However finally I thought Eastwood made this film only because he was moved this incident and captain.
Climax is not so dramatic, but it is definitely poweful. Year I recommend it.
